The Menu Modified Halfway By The Cruise

Day 8: Reversing Falls, Fundy Path, St. Martins sea caves in Saint John, NB
Day 9 and 10: Sea day, indoor skydiving, disembarkation

Day 9 Cruise Compass and inserts:

october cruisesFriday was a bit rainy – good that it was a day at sea. We had lunch at the Windjammer; the employees rolled ice cream carts around the restaurant and did a little gig.

21-second video of the gig:

I made reservations for the iFly indoor skydiving expertise in advance via the Cruise Planner. It was a well-liked activity as I used to be unable to find a time that might accommodate all three of us, so my appointment was for 3pm and my mother and father at 5pm. There was one good factor about having cut up up; we could take photographs and movies of each other.

Since it was a sea day, many events have been happening in the SeaPlex, akin to bumper vehicles. A circus flying trapeze class was supplied (10 person maximum, 30 minute session) which sounded enjoyable, however I did not get an opportunity to try it. If you bought hungry in spite of everything that excitement, SeaPlex Canine House was there to serve up an assortment of sizzling canine.

22-second video of bumper vehicles (people had been being too good, not bumping into one another):

It was time for my iFly indoor skydiving expertise. You test in on the registration desk, signal a waiver, watch a safety video, get briefed by the information on what to do (and what not to do), then suit up. There have been open cubbies the place you place all your private belongings – jewellery or gadgets in your pockets weren’t allowed as they could potentially get sucked into the large fan and cause critical harm. I might recommend you go away all your jewellery (including earrings) in your cabin secure.

All in all, indoor skydiving was a enjoyable (and free!) experience and I would do it once more. It is not scary and you are three or four ft above the ground – no fear of heights or falling too far if issues go incorrect. Too bad I solely scheduled it on the last day of the cruise; I used to be planning within the case of harm, that it wouldn’t break the remainder of the trip.

Tonight’s dinner was at Chic again. The menu modified halfway by means of the cruise, so we had new selections to select from. The food was fairly good.

Remember I had made a verbal arrangement with the driver on day 1 of our cruise to pick us up? I wasn’t certain if it was actually going to occur. Whereas we have been going via immigration, cell service was unavailable and by the point we made it out of the terminal, I had 9 voicemail messages from a distinct driver, questioning what time we could be at the curb, and so on. So a minimum of we had been going to be picked up! There was a whole lot of traffic coming into the port, so it took him a while to get to us, however finally we made it to the airport. If the driver didn’t come, we might’ve easily caught a taxi…no worries.

I redeemed frequent flyer miles on American Airlines for our return flight. Our baggage had been all checked for free since I carried an American Airlines bank card. (I should say “playing cards” since I got signal-up bonuses from both banks: Citibank and Barclays) I was also in a position to get us all exit row seating at no charge as our award tickets have been of the “AAnytime” kind.

We took Uber dwelling; we needed to walk a bit to a designated rideshare choose-up area to catch our journey.

keep strolling…

And so ends our journey to New England and Canada…fall is a lovely time to visit. It will have been even better if we went later in October to see full shade, however I’m positive I will probably be back to the realm again. I might highly suggest everyone to take a autumn journey again east to see the leaves change. If you’re occupied with a cruise just like the one we took or every other trip, just ping me and I’d be glad to help!

What’s next on the agenda? A trip back to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving…keep tuned…
